Alison at Home
Alison lives by Warnham Deer Park in an estate cottage next door to the deer farm. The deer park is across the road in front of the house. An idyllic setting for a wildlife artist with an interest in deer.
Aside from the painting Alison's interests revolve around her animals.
She is a keen poultry keeper breeding large fowl Welsummers and keeps Silkies as pets.

Alison is also very interested in dogs. Sadly in September 2008 she lost her beloved GSD Oskar
Alison is now waiting for a GSD pup to join the family, all being well from Tor View Kennels in Somerset as they share Alison's beliefs in raising dogs as naturally as possible using Homeopathy and feeding a raw diet.
Hopefully there will be a new puppy arriving in April 2009.
Alison is very interested in the natural rearing of dogs and is currently studying for a foundation in Canine Healthcare.

In the spring of 2009 Alison will start competing in agility with Raven, a rescued working type black labrador.
She joined the family when she was one year old and with training she has overcome her behavioural problems and has blossomed into a beautiful, athletic, enthusiastic working dog.

Alison is a volunteer with the Battery Hen Welfare Trust.
On a monthly basis she helps to collect and transport battery hens from the farms to the rehoming centre. Here the hens have their nails clipped and are checked for signs of injury or illness before being rehomed to their new families.
She finds this a thoroughly rewarding experience watching the hen's bewilderment at being free, able to walk about on grass or scratch in the dirt and dusting for the first time.
Their natrual instincts and behaviours are witnessed within moments of being released.

Alison's studio is at home and she welcomes visitors by appointment. Each summer she hosts an Open House and Studio at home, the house and garden are open as a gallery for two weekends as part of the local arts trail.
