On the Easel

Welcome to On the Easel where Alison will be showing a preview of new paintings that are in progress.

She tends to have a few paintings on the go at the same time, while one layer of paint is drying Alison will be working on the next painting.

Watch how the oil painting demonstration develops from a simple line drawing into a complex exploration of colour and light, to the finished piece.  Alison will try and keep this page updated so you can check back regularly and see the progress made on each painting.
