Photographs

Good quality photographs will be needed to paint the portrait, if you are local to Alison then she is very happy to meet your dog and take photographs free of charge.  Travel expenses will be charged for photography sessions more than 10 miles away.

If your pet had passed away then Alison will need to view your photographs before accepting the commission, all photos will be returned.  Once the artist has seen the photographs she will be able to discuss your requirements and what can be achieved from the reference photos available.

Photos are best taken in good light but not direct sunlight.   Candid shots are ideal for the contemporary portraits.  Below are a couple of examples of good quality photographs that are suitable for a portrait.
