Profile
Alison Ingram is renowned for producing colourful interpretations of the wildlife she observes. Her work is unique, highly distinctive and widely sought after.
Her passion for wildlife is reflected in her work and shows her deep understanding of animal behaviour and their interaction with the environment. Her paintings are vibrant and lively making full use of both the positive and negative space and colour harmonies unify the painting.
Alison was born in 1968 in Horsham West Sussex and at an early age developed a keen interest in the wildlife she encountered and the countryside in which she lived. She has had a life long passion for painting red deer and lives by Warnham Deer Park, which provides plenty of inspiration and unique encounters.
As a well known professional wildlife artist she is versatile as well as talented. Although concentrating on her abstract paintings, she is also an accomplished traditional wildlife artist, pet portrait artist and mosaicist.

Alison's fourth session as Artist in Residence at Nature in Art, Twigworth, Gloucester. This coincided with an exhibition of paintings by David Shepherd who was present for one day with the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation raising money to save critically endangered mammals in the wild. Alison's residency was a huge success with sales of original paintings, prints and cards far exceeding previous residencies.
Alison then went on to Pembrokeshire for a short break and spent time on Skomer Island photographing the puffins, kittiwakes, guillemots and razorbills. Plenty of inspiration and a wide variety of new puffins paintings will be forth coming very soon.
New Mosaic and Portrait Galleries are under construction. The mosaic gallery will have details of the swimming pool mosaic featuring a detailed design of puffins diving through water. The portrait gallery will show some of the artist's pet which have been painted in a contemporary portrait style. Both mosaics and pet portraits can be commissioned and there will be information how to go about commissioning a painting or mosaic along with a price guide.
There will be information about the poultry that Alison keeps and breeds as well as information about the Battery Hen Welfare Trust along with a striking portrait of one of Alison's ex battery hens.
