Evening Light is a study for a much larger painting, exploring the deep shadows across the farmland. The North Downs are in the background. The swift, which was once very common in the area, is now red listed, with it’s natural nest sites under threat. Alison has been instrumental in the village swift project, raising awareness and organising the installation of numerous swift boxes within the village, to safeguard the swift from disappearing from the skies over Warnham.
